A LITTLE HISTORY ON CRESCENT CITY
Crescent City is known for a few things. For example, a team of
scientists from Humboldt State University have determined that
the world’s largest tree, clocking in at over twice the height of
the Statue of Liberty and named the “Hyperion,” is located here.
(The exact location is a strict secret, well-kept to protect the
tree.) Although the area was home to Native American tribes
for centuries before his visit, it was European American pioneer
Jedidiah Smit
