Raising one’s Employee
Morale in the organization

Pg. 10
Employee morale in an
organization is crucial for
retaining employees and
also keeping them motivated
to perform at their best. This
should be a constant and
continuous process in any
organization to raise
employee morale,
irrespective of the size of the
organization and the nature
of its business. Research
study from Warwick
Business School suggests
that workers who are happy
are 12% more productive
than other workers.
On the contrary, unhappy
workers could do more harm
than good to your business.
Their productivity may also
take a beating. We will have
a look at the most
successful and cost efficient
ways to boost employee
morale.
The first step is to
recognize good work done
by individual employees and
praise them at each stage
for their effort. You can
either write a personal
handwritten note or praise
the employee in front of his
colleagues. Employee
recognition need not always
be behind closed doors.
There should not be any
discrimination or favouritism
for a particular employee.
Treatment of all employees
should be equal when it
comes to praising them.
