Mr. Julien credits his family and friends for his values and hard work ethic.

“I credit my friends and family as my backbone, because they always support me and encourage me to reach for the sky. They are the reason I continue to be the best I can be, because they push me, and push me until I can’t be pushed anymore. Even when I reach my peak, they continue to push me to go even further into success. The love of my family and friends is everything to me and without that love and support I would have nothing.”

Mr. Julien began getting interested in acting while still at his high school, Eleanor McMain. Mr. Julien states that his acting career kicked off, one day while reading in front of his class.

“One day I was in class and my teacher asked me to read, and she told me later that I had excellent reading skills. I thought it was an interesting thing to say, but I didn’t pay much attention to it. A little while later, I was called to the office and I was given a slip saying a teacher referred me to talented in Theater, which is basically another way of saying gifted arts.”

Aminta Sengtiane, a sophomore, at Southeastern says she sees Mr. Julien from time to time, and admires his energetic spunk.

“ He seems so energetic, and he smiles a lot, well every time I see him. He’s seems to be a pretty social person” said Sengtiane.

After speaking to Ms. Sengtiane, another student by the name of Amanda Costales had a few things to say about Mr. Julien.

“DJ has really helped me to grow as a person and to step out of my comfort zone. He’s not afraid to be goofy and have fun. He’s a giant teddy bear who gives great hugs and make even your worst day better. He is really great at interacting with others and getting them involved with the activities happening on campus. DJ literally makes friends with any and everyone he talks to, he does not meet a stranger, if that makes since,” Costales expressed.

When asked why he always smiles and is willing to lend a helping hand to others if they need it, Mr. Julien responded by saying

“I do it, because it’s just always been a part me. My mom raised me to be polite and to enjoy life by taking it one day at a time, so it’s been my philosophy to be nice and there for my friends because I never know when I might need a friend to lean on.”

As Mr. Julien’s college career comes to an end, he continues to excel and grow into a well experienced young man soaring into his career.
