To try some of the island’s local produce, head to the Santa Maria del Camí Sunday market where you will find organic fruits and vegetables, meats and cheeses. Other good organic or local produce markets are held in Sineu on Wednesdays and Campos on Saturdays. Palma’s new organic market is on Saturdays in Plaça dels Patins.

Buying straight from the farms is the perfect way to get the freshest produce available and it is a wonderful experience to see these decades-old fincas in action. There are dozens of farms all over the island, so look up your nearest one.
