As the major European economies continue to recover we are seeing improvements across both the industrial nd construction sectors in many
countries. This growth will help increase the demand for good quality used
LCVs however, RVs in most countries have already recovered from their
recessionary lows of 2008-09 and therefore any upward movement in RVs
is going to be limited.
The graphs, which go out to March 2017, all show an overall stable picture
in RVs. One of the challenges France faces is a high employment tax wedge
when companies employ more than 50 employees and this hampers the
growth in what is known in Germany as Mittelstand, small and medium
sized businesses. Because of this we are not seeing the same demand led
pressures on LCV RVs that is sustaining or even increasing RVs in other
countries.
