Trouble at the Tower of London
Beano’ s partnership with the Tower of London shows the impact in action. Running across February half term the Tower welcomed 70,000 visitors to the Beano event over nine days; delivering a 15 % uplift on the prior year.
The activation brought history to life through a Beano Time Traveller Mission- an immersive outdoor trail driven by a bespoke comic-strip narrative. Visitors explored the site to find parts of a time machine and meet‘ Beanofied’ historical figures including Guy Fawkes and Elizabeth I.
Large-scale installations, live performances, interactive props and themed food, drink, and merchandise created a fully integrated experience. The collaboration also extended into education, with Beano for Schools content.
Secret Rules of Mischief at the Royal Mint Experience
For venues looking for a pop-up experience, Beano has created“ The Ten( Secret) Rules of Mischief”, a scalable, touring concept combining an exhibition and interactive play.
Premiered with the Royal Mint Experience in Wales, visitors went behind the scenes of the comic, explored a cartoon recreation of the Beano editor’ s office and stepped into the irreverent F( art) Gallery, where classic artworks were reimagined with playful, giggle-inducing twists.
High-energy games, from foam tomato throwing to“ fart in a jar”, kept kids entertained, while a creative zone offered drawing activities culminating in an art display.
Each visit ended with a free Beano comic to the delight of kids.
