Studio MB are multi-disciplinary designers, content developers, interpretive strategists, researchers, master planners and project managers. However, when it comes to creating coherent narrative environments for cultural destinations and commercial attractions, it is their ability to tell imaginative and emotive stories that defines their design approach and makes their visitor experiences so special – experiences that inspire, involve and inform.

Now in their twenty first year, this creative design company has certainly come of age. Charlie Barr, Founding Director said,“ today, from our studios in London and Edinburgh, we imagine and we deliver for amazing projects all over the world. From Reykjavík to Riyadh, Delhi to Dublin, San Antonio to Shanghai”.
Closer to home Studio MB have completed a vast variety of destination projects in the UK and Ireland for museums, visitor attractions and science centres, two recently completed are shown here.
The new Ad Gefrin Distillery re-awakens a Northumbrian tradition for whisky distilling. More than 1,000 years ago, Northumbria was the most powerful kingdom in all of England, ruled from Bamburgh Castle and the Royal residence of‘ Ad Gefrin’ in the nearby Glendale Valley. This distillery takes its name and its inspiration from this royal place of gathering and community. Today, this new hub for the region has becoming a gateway to the National Park and Cheviot Hills, celebrating and showcasing the unique heritage, culture, arts, food, and crafts of Northumberland.
Dynamic Earth is an incredibly popular science attraction in Edinburgh. After successfully delivering the‘ Polar Extremes’ gallery, which features an iceberg, penguins swimming beneath the visitors’ feet, and the aurora borealis illuminating the ceiling above their heads,
