OTHERWORLD is one of the UK ’ s most popular virtual reality destinations , transporting thousands of people every week from its three futuristic venues across the UK ( London Victoria , Hackney and Birmingham ) on adventures deep into the multiverse . Stepping into completely unique Immersion Pods , visitors are catapulted to virtual destinations where they can participate in a collection of VR games – spanning horror , shooters , rhythm and puzzles – and new realities discovered on the frontiers of immersive entertainment , spanning documentary , music and art .
Opening their first venue in 2019 , OTHERWORLD transformed a disused railway arch in Haggerston , Hackney from a leaky former warehouse space into a futuristic portal to a parallel universe . The space was reworked and refurbished into a pink and purple-hued spectacle complete with fourteen multi-sensory “ immersion pods ” and a cocktail bar , creating a brand-new entertainment destination for East London .
