Art Trails That Make A Difference

Wild in Art has been creating public art trails across the UK and worldwide since 2008 .
The fun , family-friendly , free to visit art trails showcase uniquely painted sculptures , created by professional and emerging artists - bringing art out of the gallery and making it accessible to all .
Animating places and spaces , the trails encourage exploration and drive footfall , attracting new audiences while enabling local residents to re-engage with the host location . They increase dwell time and repeat visits and signpost people to places they may not normally visit .
Waterfront Whale Tales , a collaboration with the New Sydney Waterfront Company ,
Australia ’ s first Business Improvement District , saw 30 whale tail sculptures form a 6km harbour-side trail connecting the western harbour precincts . Each sculpture told a story of place , showcasing past , present and future plans . The independent evaluation * found : 86 % said the trail took them to new places ; 86 % said they spent more time in the location because of the trail ; 60 % said they were more inclined to visit the western harbour since visiting the trail .
Unique partnerships with brand owners have enabled the development of a sculpture portfolio which includes iconic characters from the world of film , TV and literature . In Newcastleupon-Tyne , a collaboration with Academy Award ® -winning studio Aardman brought 115 Shaun the Sheep sculptures to the city . The
