Middle East – UFI , the global association of the exhibition industry , will hold its next MEA Regional Conference in Doha , 9-11 May 2023 . The event will be hosted by Visit Qatar .
Open to all exhibition industry professionals , the conference will be attended by senior representatives from government entities , convention bureaus , tourism boards , venues , events organisers , in addition to economists , media and industry experts , from across the world . To foster climate change-focused talks , the MEA Conference in Doha will run under the theme of ‘ Towards a Sustainable Growth ’.
Africa – From 12-15 January 2023 ,
International Exhibition Logistics Association ( IELA ) held its 11th edition of the IELA Winter Seminar at the Century City Conference Centre in Cape Town , South Africa . The Seminar was organised by the IELA Education and Training Programme Working Group ( ETWG ). At the IELA biennial training event , professionals new to the industry were invited to an exclusive programme dedicated to the complex issues and procedures of the exhibition logistics industry . Under the motto ‘ Building the future ’, the students saw over 10 hours of instruction , networking interaction , and a final exam .
Asia – Thirty Philippines-based brands will be joining the Ambiente 2023 trade show in Frankfurt , Germany from 3-7 February . The announcement came from the Philippines ’ Department of Trade and Industry ’ s ( DTI ) export promotions arm – the Centre for International Trade Expositions and Missions ( CITEM ).
In a statement on 3 January , CITEM stated that the DesignPhilippines brand will feature at the trade show , demonstrating home , fashion , and lifestyle ( HFL ) products across the country ’ s small , micro , and medium sectors ( MSMEs ), and artisan communities . Ambiente 2023 is set to expect 4,700 exhibitors .
