Wrappers ’ delight
WrapFest saw the crazy competitive world of vehicle detailing arrive at the home of British Grand Prix . Emily Wallin went along for the ride
said : “ WrapFest is all about a very important part of the market which we serve , which is the wrapping industry , which is both cars , but also interior design .
It ’ s valued at around about £ 2bn to £ 3billion around the world . So it ’ s a very important market for us .
Felton said the event was partly the culmination of years of being asked to create a more interactive event , and to bring their European show to the UK .
“ We wanted an interactive activity here in the UK and Silverstone was the perfect place to do it . I mean , it ’ s the home of the British Grand Prix .
Explaining the value of the sector , Felton explained : “ In some ways , it ’ s something which I never truly got under the skin of , because actually I didn ’ t quite fully understand it . Then over time I grew to see it ’ s popularity . There ’ s one video from one of our shows where people are just talking about how you put vinyl on a car and over 7m people have watched that .
“ There ’ s a massive demand for understanding how you can wrap and personalise
