Event News LUXURY PROPERTY GROWS FAST Name: The Luxury Property Show Date: 31 October-1 November Where: Olympia London The Smart Group purchased The Luxury Property Show at the end of 2018 and took over the event in early 2019. The Group revamped the show, bringing in more luxury experiences for attendees. Features include lifestyle seminars, a golf simulator, a pop-up art gallery and a VIP champagne bar, as well as showcasing properties from multiple different countries. Director of growth for the Smart Group, Jana Korpova- Harris, said: “For us, this year has been about bringing the luxury property show to be the place to meet with experts, not just developers.” Attendance for the 2019 edition of The Luxury Property Show increased by 45 per cent on 2018 to 1,100 visitors. What’s next? The Luxury Property aim to expand the amount of exhibitors and countries represented at the show, as well as hosting the show Friday-Saturday to give access to weekend visitors. GLITTERY CELEBRATION FOR ESSEX SHOW Name: The Essex Festive Gift and Food Show Date: 2-3 November 2019 Where: Brentwood Centre 2019’s Essex Festive Food and Gift Show marked the 25th anniversary of the event. The show started out as a craft and gift fair, but over the years developed into one of the biggest Christmas events in Essex. Organised by Aztec Events, the show has proved to be such a success that they have launched the Newark Festive Gift & Food Show and the Norfolk Festive Gift & Food Show. The show attracts hundreds of exhibitors each year, all selling various handmade festive wares. The 2019 edition of the show attracted around 9000 visitors across the weekend. It featured live entertainment from singers, as well as more food and drink stands than ever, and more bespoke gift ideas. What’s next? Social media and digital marketing executive at Aztec Events, Michelle Norris, said: “The elves in the office are already working on making next year’s show bigger and better than before.
