NRMA’s CEO Rohan Lund. “Working across various companies over the years I have myself received everything from hampers worth hundreds of dollars to very generous gift cards.” BUYING FOR YOUR BOSS When choosing a gift for her boss at Christmas, Nadia is able to draw on her knowledge of his interests. “We have worked together for six or seven years across several different companies,” says Nadia, “I know Rohan loves to travel with his family so I sometimes get him a guide book for his next holiday. I have also given him gold class vouchers for the movies so that he and his wife can enjoy a night out.” Etiquette specialist Anna Musson agrees that a gold class movie voucher is a lovely gift idea. “When it comes to a gift for your boss, you need to think about what you’d like your Christmas bonus to look like next year,” says Anna, who runs The Good Manners company and conducts a range of etiquette courses for businesses. “Think about their lifestyle and what they and their partner both enjoy.” Anna’s recommendations for a gift for your boss include a beautiful quality pen, French Champagne or something monogrammed. “Anything that provides an element of luxury is a lovely gift. You could give a monogrammed leather bound notepad, a luggage tag or personalised stationery, depending on your budget.” OCTOBER/NOVEMBER 2016 | WWW.EXECUTIVEPA.COM.AU 43
