Marriott brings new W Hotel to Mexican
coastal resort town
Marriott International will be bringing
the W Hotels brand to the coastal resort
town, Playa del Carmen in Mexico with
the completion of a new hotel in 2023.
The new hotel is set to sit on
an oceanfront site in Playa del
Carmen, within walking distance to
entertainment, upscale shopping and
restaurants. “We are excited to work
with hotel developer Fibra Inn to open
a cutting-edge W hotel in Playa del
Carmen, a destination ready for the
brand’s bold design,” said Laurent
de Kousemaeker, Chief Development
Officer for Marriott International.
Upon completion, the 218 room
hotel will embody the W Hotels’
‘work hard, play hard’ philosophy
by including a pool deck, spa, fitness
centre, beach club, rooftop bar and
multiple dining venues. For corporate
and social events, the property is also
expected to feature 500 square metres
of meetings and events space. S

Introducing Victoria Pavilion, a
dynamic, new and impressive event
space in Melbourne. Conveniently
located seven kilometres from the CBD,
