TRIP REPORT
Night Rider - Episode Mt Disappointment
24th June 2017
After the break we found another interesting track just off boundary rd called western break track, there was a left turn
that said “Steep, possible future track closure”, well let’s see how steep this actually is... We could hardly walk it and then
it dropped even further, let’s just say I wouldn’t want to do this in the day let alone the night.
Our final track was Stony Creek rd, nice easy drive with an interesting mound, no one could see where they were going
so some guidance was necessary. It was almost midnight and the track ahead was very steep, the remanence of a 4x4 that
had rolled down the hill was off putting. Not wanting this to turn into a day trip we all agreed to turn around and head
back to the main road and air up.
I think we all had a bit of fun testing out our lights especially Tim, I’m sure the wildlife thought it was sunrise when he
drove past.
Over all a great trip with some great tracks, wildlife, and great company.
