Pajero Club Magazine Production & Distribution

Pajero Club Magazine Production & Distribution

The Pajero Club has been proudly putting out s magazine for some 32 years now . The magazine has been widely distributed and welcomed each month , as a very easy well put together issue .
Each month a small band of volunteers have gathered at Barry Collin ’ s house to bag up , and sort into post boxes for mailing the next day . Over the years this has turned into a social evening and some good stories have been told and retold over a can of coke , chips and cashews .
The club ’ s first meeting was held in 1984 at a private home . From there the meetings were held at several different places , namely Kew Mitsubishi , Eastside Mitsubishi , Royal Victorian Institute for the Blind , Mitcham RSL , Brand Receptions , Whitehorse Club and now the club meets at the Glen Waverley Bowls Club .
Over this time the magazine has been photocopied , printed on a gestener with the name and addresses hand written . Bill Mead was able to obtain a photocopier to facilitate printing , which made one happy editor .
Collating was done at several different places over the years with Barry Collins being the constant having been involved for the past 32 years . Fred and Heather Schoof lent out their lounge for some time to accommodate the photocopier as well as being the editor .
Bill Mead has been able to supply the club with photocopiers and in 1985 he found a high speed machine and production went from 75 to 135 prints per minute as the club grew . Bill also serviced the photocopier , which at times has been so valuable when the machine breaks down during a printing run .
Production has now been out-sourced and collating is done at Barry Collin ’ s house . The collating group is featured below .
