How can you help?
Wow! What a time? No doubt I’m not the only one freaking out at the moment.
This is a good time for distractions. And this magazine is as good a distraction as any. Hopefully you
will all find something of interest.
I want to take this time to talk a little about what I have been doing over the last few months. You
all know about this mag I put together. Hopefully by now you have also seen the sponsorship
package guide I put together. Hoping some of you have even shared this with your suppliers. We
need more sponsors. Another job that’s kept me busy is the club’s social media profile. Of course,
you hopefully already know about our Facebook group. But did you know we now also have a
Facebook page? In fact, we already have over 400 followers on this new page over quite a short
period. The number of followers on our page now actually exceeds the group. No doubt many of
you may want to know the difference between a group and a page. Well, the FB group is set at
private which means only members can see posts and discussions. Whereas the FB page is public so
anyone can see our posts. The page is a good way to promote our club, sponsors, magazine and
special events such as the Pajero Challenge. It’s also a great way to attract potential members. Our
club also has a You Tube page with over 100 followers. Another great way to promote the club.
Hopefully by now, you’ve all seen Ed’s very entertaining trip and social report for March.
I’ve been busy. The committee have been very busy. Now we need your help. We want to build a
series of ‘Show us your Paj’ videos and and/or articles. You’ve all done great things to your cars and
it would be great to share it with both members and the public. Make a video and I will add it to our
You Tube page. No fancy editing required. This month we added a ‘Show us your Paj’ video from
Vice President Terrie Barbie. Next month it could be yours. Alternatively, you can write an article for
our magazine. Send it to me with some pics and I will do a feature article in one of our future mags.
This is a great way to pep up your fellow club members and each other. I really hope to get some
great responses.
Please join our FB group, like our FB page and subscribe to our You Tube Channel. Remember, all
pics, videos and articles can either be emailed to me or if too large, save them to our Google Drive.
