Asia – IBTM World organiser RX has cancelled its 2025 launch of IBTM Asia Pacific in Hong Kong , originally set for 19-20 March at AsiaWorld Expo . Event director Claudia Hall cited the growth of APAC outbound business travel and increasing international representation at IBTM World as reasons for the cancellation , although the market already has two shows in this space – AIME in Australia and The Meetings Show Asia Pacific in Singapore . It was RX ’ s second attempt to launch IBTM APAC , after a planned 2020 show in Singapore was postponed due to the pandemic . The APAC MICE market continues to grow rapidly ,
World – Global consulting firm Stax has released its annual ranking of the top 20 exhibition organisers , based on 2023 revenue . The combined revenue of the top 20 surged by 47 %, signalling strong industry recovery . Informa , RX , and Clarion held onto the top three spots , but significant reshuffling occurred throughout the rest of the list . Organisers with exposure to the Chinese market saw gains , with CloserStill rising six spots to 14th place . Meanwhile , Easyfairs and Ascential slipped to 18th and 20th , despite solid revenue growth . Dmg events re-entered the list after a two-year absence .
World - Eventbrite is expanding its platform , offering advanced ticketing and marketing tools to all users . New features include unlimited event publishing with no organiser fees , reduced Pro Plan costs , and a timed entry option for managing crowds . Event organisers can now publish and promote unlimited events , send up to 250 marketing emails daily , and access tools for managing social ads and email campaigns . Eventbrite ’ s CEO , Julia Hartz , highlighted the platform ’ s goal of simplifying event management and enhancing organiser success . The new features will launch soon in the US , followed by international markets .
