Europe – Easyfairs’ Trendz is to co-locate with ShowUP in a move the organisers say will create the largest retail event for home, flowers and gifts in the Benelux. The shows will come together 30 August-1 September, with a revamped joint event showcasing 500 brands in one place. Trendz has a strong position in home decoration, flowers and gifts, while ShowUP has targeted home, gifts, kids, stationery and lifestyle segments. The new, unified event will also offer jewellery and accessories and table and kitchenware elements. It will run at Evenementenhal Gorinchem, in The Netherlands.
Asia – The Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau( TCEB) has set new carbon reduction targets, aiming to reduce emissions by 20,000 tons CO₂e by 2030. Organisers will be required, under new Terms of Reference when bidding or proposing events to have plans to make them carbon-neutral. The Thai MICE industry collectively reduced and avoided 2,445.97 tonCO₂e across 232 events in FY 2025, compared to 780 tons of CO₂e in FY 2024. TCEB says it will provide practical tools to support organisers in meeting these sustainability goals.
