“ These heavyweight individuals will help attract high-quality professional industry conferences to Macao ,” says IPIM president Vincent U , noting that the programme aligns with the city ’ s ‘ 1 + 4 ’ economic diversification strategy . The initiative particularly focuses on four key industries : big health , high-tech , convention and trade , and culture and sports , while also promoting Macao ’ s role as a bridge between China and Portuguese-speaking countries .
