In New Smyrna Beach, Al Perkinson founded Bajio Sunglasses five years ago after helping his previous employer, Costa Sunglasses, expand from a 6 million to $ 160 million business.
“ We built an entire company in just six months and were able to launch in the spring of 2021,” he said. The company has grown to 30 employees and another 30 reps in the field.“ We’ ll sell over 100,000 pairs of sunglasses and 30,000 hats. We’ ll generate $ 13 million in revenue and have positive EBITDA( earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization).”
