In "Allegory of the Cave, Plato highlights the two different worlds and shows the idea of truth and knowledge.
SOCRATES was the teacher to Plato. He spent most of his life asking questions and trying to prove that the Sophists idea of no absolute truth was wrong. He thought that asking questions was more rhetorical than normal conversation. He believed that the soul is how we see truth because our souls emerged from a perfect world. He thought men should seek the truth and nobility thus introducing "noble rhetoric" which could help us find the truth within. Socrates was put to trial because he was believed to have "corrupted the youth."
