being nervous I couldn’t eat any big
breakfast apart from a slice of toast. A
good friend of mine and Alan’s offered
to take me to the wedding service in
his large wedding car, Jamie did me
proud decorating his car specially for
this short trip to Lupton. After what
seemed a very fast moving morning
with lots happening, half past one
quickly arrived and it was time to leave
my guest house and go on the short
journey to get married to my soul
mate Alan. Unfortunately my mother
and father couldn’t make the long trip
down to the wedding because of my
father’s ill health. But all was not lost,
because Alan came up with the idea to
use Skype so they could watch the live
service as it was going on. This was
such a great idea and it felt like they
were still in the room with me. My son
Robert stepped into the void left by my
father’s ill health, and after asking him
if he’d do me the honour of walking me
down the aisle, he made my day even
more special by agreeing to do this for
me. Lots of other family and friends
came down from Liverpool to join me
in my big day as well.

Well where do I begin, it’s been a roll-
ercoaster of a few years for me. I’ve
been married 3 times before, and to
be honest they hadn’t been what my
