Auxiliary Board makes waves
The Eversight Illinois Young Professionals
Committee has a new name. The group of
dedicated volunteers is now the Eversight
Illinois Auxiliary Board, a moniker that
fully captures the wide audience they
work with and to whom they appeal.
The Auxiliary Board is made up of 12
individuals, each with a unique passion
for our organization’s work. The group
includes donor family members, a cornea
recipient, former Eversight Illinois
employees and others simply inspired by
our mission and charitable services.
Co-chairs Sarah Epstein and Claire
Holland provide tremendous leadership
and oversight for all of the group’s
activities. The Auxiliary Board has raised
more than $25,000 for Eversight Illinois
in three years through annual fall
fundraisers and unique sweatworking
opportunities, which allow participants
to network while exercising.
“The Auxiliary Board is an incredible
asset to our organization,” said Brittany
Wright, Community Relations Liaison
for Eversight Illinois. “Thanks to their
efforts, we now have a strong foothold
in Chicago’s young professional
community as we work together to
find innovative ways of sharing and
advancing our mission.”

“I feel a personal connection to Eversight
Illinois because my daughter received a
cornea transplant at the age of 14.” Bates
said. “After graduating from college she
joined the Eversight Illinois Auxiliary
Board, and I also felt a need to be more
involved and give back as much as I
could. I was very excited when Diane

asked me to be on the Board. I hope that
my entrepreneurial and managerial skills
will help the organization continue to
flourish and help others in need.”
“I am honored to join the Board and
look forward to collaborating with
other members and colleagues at
Eversight Illinois to build awareness

“I am passionate about eye, organ and
tissue donation having received three
cornea transplants to date,” Morgan said.
“I have been a speaker for Eversight and

So it was an easy decision when Diane
Hollingsworth asked me to join the

opportunity to contribute to the Eversight
mission to expand its reach and connect
with communities to provide sight to
anyone in need.”
