In Islam, slaughter is one of the important aspects to create a generation of good Muslims. Due to depletion of the younger generation who are interested in Islamic slaughter, the University Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia under the Center of Co-Curriculum has established a course to educate and provide knowledge about the slaughter in Islam to students. This course is named slaughter in Islam and with named of club is Islamic Slaughter Association.

　　　　  In this course, students are taught how to slaughter according to Islamic law. At the beginning student are taught with the intention during slaughter, position animal when slaughter, ways to slaughter animals such as cow, chicken and so on. In addition this course also exposes the students to the real situation in the Islamic slaughter. To test the understanding of the student who taking this courses one a practical program have conducted. The objective of these program are giving students a change to slaughter animals themself and experience to handle another slaughter program such as during ‘Eid al Adha.

　　　　 The program have conducted on 23 November 2012, that organized by Islamic Slaughter Association. The participants of this program have divided into 3 group which are cooking, cutting meat process and cleaning meat process. In this program, we use 30 of chicken and a cow. Before program started the participate were briefing by the lecturer of slaughter association, Ustaz Mohammad Shahrir B Hj Muttalib. In briefing session, the lecturer has explained how to slaughter in proper way, about equipment and requirement for slaughter.

This program has two sessions, in which for the 1st session, each participant will slaughter a chicken that will monitor by lecturer. After that, the 2nd session this program will continue to slaughter a cow. These cows have been slaughter by the lecturer because it needs skill and wide knowledge to slaughter the cow. After finish slaughtering the cow, the group cutting and cleaning the meat will start their work to cut meat and cleaned the meat. At the same time, another group will prepare the ingredient for cooking process.

After we had enjoyed our lunch prepared by participant, the lecturer of Islamic Slaughter Association, Ustaz Mohammad Shahrir B Hj Muttalib had given a speech to say thank you to all participant and other guest for give commitment to success this event. Lastly, all participants have to clean the equipment and hall that use for this program. The event was finished at around 4 pm.
