Adopt-A-Gator
Next year a small number of adult alligators on Kiawah Island will be fitted with
GPS transmitters. This tracking project will allow a better understanding of the
behaviors and roaming areas of these iconic reptiles. We are offering you the
opportunity to adopt one of these modern day dinosaurs. Adoptive parents
will receive the opportunity to name one of these amazing creatures, a plush
alligator, and general information about their alligator once tracking begins in
2018.
Restrictions: Alligators will be tagged in 2018. Adopters will be sent general
information and an adoption certificate for their alligator as soon as all
tracking devices are placed and names are received.
FMV: Priceless
