Another tab listed in Premiere Pro is 'effects'. This is an extremely important tab that allows you to edit things from audio effects to video transitions. After watching one of our friend's videos, we noticed that they had used a few video transitions. Our current video contained none; therefore, we decided to try a few. In our final production, we have a total of 9 video transitions and some include spiral boxes, Venetian blinds and checkerboard. My favourite transition is the cross zoom because when it is used, it emphasises the part of the video to make it more effective. For example, when I hold the hair dye box in Superdrug, we use the cross zoom to change the scene to me holding the same box but in my bathroom. It is also used when Emily hangs up the photo frame in her bedroom. At first, we placed a lot of transitions into the video but in the end we decided not to go overboard with the use of these. I believe that the transitions we chose fit in with the narrative really well. We also wanted these transitions to look like graphic matches to represent how quickly friendships can run into difficulties.
