In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?

Our media product used the conventions of Music-Documentaries such as Justin biebers 'Never Say Never', One Directions 'This Is Us'.

One convention we used was the effect that social media had on the young celebrities lives. The story of Justin Biebers rise to success was that he was found on the website Youtube, gaining many views from people around the world seeing him sing. The movie never say never refferences this in the movie therefore me used this in our teaser trailer to make clear that the story of our character Livvy was the same as Justin Biebers. In order to make it clear that Livvy was found when she was younger on youtube we casted a toddler and filmed her sitting in a baby chair singing. We decided to use a baby to exxaggerate the age that people can become famous in the modern day because of technology

technology such as social network sites.

From the conventions of this genre we decided to use another conevtnion about social newtork sites which was twitter. We made a twitter for the star Livvy (@RealLivvy) and made people tweet this account for us to use in the film to show her success growing as they do in Justin and 1Ds film. we included these tweets in our media product to create an athentic star as this is what is expected from this genre of film.
