Another media text that we mocked was the youtube video of a Britney Spears fan who screams 'LEAVE BRITNEY ALONE!' Livvys name was integrated into this the video. This challenges the conventions of music documentaries because the audiences knowledge of this youtube video was Britneys break down, therefore this gives the idea, that Livvy has had a breakdown by the age of 13. This challenges the audience to think about the connotations of this scene, yet also links to the message of the film that fame changes peoples mentality and personality .
As a parody we used intertextulaity in some scenes where the fans talk about why they like lLivvy, or what experiences they had with her. In this scene we wanted to exxaggerate how much pateince someone could have for a celebrity and how much that they could get away with, in an interview with a fan, a fan confesses that 'one time she punched me in the face.. but i liked it'. This is a paraody of the film mean girls, when a girls admits that the popular girls in school done this to her. We used this to sow that celebrities get away with thinks and think they are above the law and normal people.
To challenge the conventions of a music documentary, we went against the sterotpical narative that usually portrays the artist as a down to earth, normal person. So instead we decided to make a 'Mock-umentary' which made this films into a paraody. From this, our media product could be seen as a pastiche as we are going along with the conventions of previous successful media products and we are celebrating the celebrity culture and lifestyle. In the same way, we are also challenging the conventions of the genre as we are parodying and spoofing the idea of becoming famous through social media by saying that once you become famous you are never the same person you once were.

Swearing
The swearing of the 13 year old Livvy challenges the convention that celebrities are good role models. We used swearing as a direct opposite of what is expected from a young girl, she says 'this songs sh*t' when on the phone to her manager, says she can do what ever the f**k she wants' with her money, the swearing emphasises this is a mockumentary because it is seen as if these are her real opinions when the camera catches her. We also challenged the conventions of trailers but using the song 'Boss Ass B*tch', the song repeatedly swaers and isnt a feel good song that encourages people to do good such as Justin Biebers themes song 'Never Say Never' and 1D's 'Little Things'. We also used this theme song on the trailer to represent her diva attitude acting like the 'Boss' because she is a spoilt brat.
CHALLENGING CONVENTIONS
