The recent ‘I am an Immigrant’ campaign on the London
underground celebrated migrants and the contributions
they make to society. Posters showed the name, country of
origin and occupation of the person featured on the poster.
One of a Polish fireman read ‘I am an immigrant. For seven
years I have been saving lives and yours could be next.’
Another showed a Barrister stating, ‘I am an immigrant for
13 years I have been championing human rights and
fighting for justice.’
Can your pupils find out about the lives and achievements
of other people who have made their home in your country.
