Visibility of eTwinning Projects Group July 2013 Newsletter ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I represented Bursa with our eTwinnning Coordinator Elif Yaman Çal. We stayed in Lisbon for a few days but the memories and lessons we carried to our country were enormous. I participated in many workshops and I was impress ed by the clever minds all around Europe. The first thing which came to my mind was Augmented Reality by Hendrien Exel. Although – I must confess – I am not good at scientific developments [I do not even watch science fiction films], I was curious about this reality and during the break I found myself trying the demo. The other project that was presented by Manuela Correia was “EUrope” (EU+rope). Music played a differential role to link people. As the title suggests, they used the rope to make sounds such as skipping with rope, hitting, pulling, scraping, hanging rope and many experimental ways to create more and more. Many congratulations to my friends. What about Ali Osman Sönmez School 2013? Since March, I have been trying to continue three projects with different themes. The first one is ' Spot the difference - come together and meet each other'. The idea of the project was to compare the schools, school systems and students`lives according to various cultural backgrounds. The project is based on guessing games, sharing photos and films, web quests, webinars, Skype sessions. I succeeded in signing 16 students from Industrial Automation Department which is one of the popular classes in our school. My students could enter with their passwords and create their profile and were very successful at sharing their own photos with their friends. We – Turkey – had a very colourful stand with many gifts, posters, booklets, leaflets, traditional food and beverages and of course the presentations of successful projects of my friends. The next one is 'Tourist guide of my region'. This project focused on Power Point presentations about various places of interest within the region of the participating students. Our students showed the most beautiful and interesting places of NorthEastern Venice and Green Bursa with pictures, 80
