The eTwinning community is a place where every
teacher and every student is appreciated, valued,
cherished. In a secure internet place, all the project
members can collaborate on interactive activities
directly.
In the cyberspace of the eTwinning project one can
add new members at any time during the entire
activity. Each member of the virtual space, student
or teacher, has the opportunity to create their own
profile.
Visibility of the project is ensured for all the
duration of its achieving, regardless of the
application used: blog, forums, wiki, document
library, gallery, displaying web content, etc.
Activities carried out for the eTwinning projects
stimulate the retention for the training of the
students, transfer of knowledge, their hope to learn
to do something new, and their willingness to
interact with other participants. Through contests
and summative tests, students are assured that
they really learned something and that they
remember some knowledge.
For two years, I founded the eTwinning educational
project "Mathematical Variety": http://newtwinspace.etwinning.net/web/p58059/home,
http://newtwinspace.etwinning.net/web/p84661/homepage.
The project purpose is to highlight the varied
formative range of the resolutive mathematical
capabilities, the applicability of the mathematical
knowledge of students in solving the problems of
everyday life, fun problems, to achieve the
educational multiple context of the school ”centered
on the student” and the mathematical contest
"Mathematical Variety", able to generate the
opening of the school to the local community and to
the eTwinning community.
The first collaborative materials of the
“Mathematical Variety” project were made using:
1) https://www.blogger.com, to create the
blog of the project:
http://mathematicalvariety.blogspot.ro;
2) http://www.wallwisher.com, for
communication, notes and continuous assessment;
3) www.microsoft.com/word, for editing
text, for the first articles.
We achieved all the proposed objectives in both
years, and I hope to accomplish a more efficient
collaboration in the next school year.
