THE OLD POST OFFICE BUILDING
The Old Bandırma Post Office, which was built in 1925, is one of the oldest buildings of
Bandırma. This was Bandırma's first post Office. It was also one of the first post offices in
Turkish Republic history. This building served until 1967. The building, which was also used
as a tax office, was demolished in 1967. The restoration of this building, which stood in ruins
at the city center, started in 2013. The restoration was completed in 2015 and it was
transferred to Bandırma Security Directorate as 17 Eylül Police Station. This building, which
still preserves its historical features, reflects the old architectural heritage and history of
Bandırma in the best way.
