began researching the swell of females in

Whilst I have never liked the word feminist,
there is definitely something to be said
about women taking on the sceptics
and achieving where others said they
wouldn’t - the infamous quote that ‘Ginger
Roberts did everything Fred Astaire did,
but backwards and in heels’ rings so true,
especially in the Estate Living offices. In our
Corporate Profile, one of our fantastic new
features, we give readers the opportunity
to get up close and personal with Jaime
van Sittert and myself, the owners of Estate
Living, and our successfully exhilarating
(and sometimes frustrating) journey in a
comparatively male-dominated sector.
From Nelson Mandela’s daughter and
granddaughter , golfing legend Sally Little,
to emerging interior designers, chefs and
music makers– we celebrate a fantastic
selection of local and international women
doing wonders for themselves and for
other women.

As we reach midyear, we salute some of the
more established estates in our residential
reviews such as Eagle Canyon Golf Estate
and Pearl Valley Golf and Country Estate
who all remain just as popular today as
they did when they first launched. Our
review of the recently held ARC conference
addresses some of the pertinent issues
that will essentially help strengthened
the industry. In our Vissionaries pages, ,
another new feature, we shed light on the
vision of those developers making great
strides in the sector.
