In an ever changing world, it's hard to keep up with all the faddy diets, advice, and gossip on what we should and shouldn't be eating.Conflicting information is released more times than Justin Bieber from prison. Here are 6 tips that might help you through.

1

Dont eat junk food.

One of the main things it's hard to get your head around is the fact that hundreds of celebrities do interviews and say they 'dont deny themselves anything. This creates the stupidly false impression you can go around eating burgers and still loose weight. You cant. Eating junk food will not get you anywhere. There are THOUSANDS of calories in some fast food meals, which will set you back even if you've been good all week. No one said it was easy. If you want to be thin, you have to work at it.

2

Food that is good for you doesn't taste of ANYTHING.

Even the healthiest person in the world will more than likely tell you that salad does not taste anywhere near as good as a dirty burger. Most healthy food is just leaves, which tastes approximately the same to going out in your garden and eating grass. If you are going to start a health and fitness kick, you really need to be ready for it.

3

You have to exercise for HOURS to make a difference.

This also falls into the 'no one said it would be easy' box. There are 120 calories in a bag of Walkers Sunbites (Sweet Chilli Flavour). If you did a 'fast walk' on the treadmill (lets face it none of us ACTUALLY run) you would need to do 30 minutes to burn off one bag. So to burn off all of the rubbish you have eaten in one day you would need to kill yourself for approximately 4 hours. This is why people who say 'I have the occasional treat but I go to the gym ALL the time' never lose weight.
