New features of EDspaces 2016 include:
DEALER BOOT CAMP
Come in a day early (Tuesday, November 1) to help train new team members on the unique aspects of the educational
products marketplace. Specifically designed to meet the needs of the newest dealers in the education marketplace (or those
wanting a refresher course), these sessions focus on insider knowledge of best practices.

PLENARY SESSIONS
Each day will feature an informative plenary session: The Future of Education in Cincinnati: Re-visioning in a Growing City; The New Math of School
Facilities: Equity, Education, and the Learning Environment; and Designing
the Conditions for Wonder: A New Vision for Teaching and Learning.

INNOVATIVE CLASSROOM ENVIRONMENTS
EDspaces will not only feature the very best education sessions, but attendees will be
learning in four unique spaces designed by leading architects in the field and outfitted
with the latest innovations that make learning spaces come to life.

EDUCATIONAL FACILITY TOURS
This program has been expanded this year to include a pre-conference AIA-CAE
sponsored tour of the University of Cincinnati, a campus renowned for its award-winning architecture while University of Northern Kentucky (part of the Friday tour) is
noteworthy for its state-of-the-art College of Informatics. Other tour stops that day include the Rothenberg Academy and Cincinnati Country Day School while Wednesday
evening kicks off with an additional tour or the School for the Performing and Creative
Arts, just blocks from the convention center.

ENVISIONING THE FUTURE OF FOOD
Visit the EDspaces School Cafeteria and enjoy sustainable, budget-conscious (and delicious!)
school-style lunches on Wednesday and Thursday. In this specialty area of the exhibit hall and
during education sessions, learn how Beyond Green Sustainable Food Partners are able to bring
students meals prepared from scratch, using fresh, locally-sourced ingredients from school gardens and farms, as well as teach them about food, nutrition, recycling and composting.

EDFEST/EDMARKET 100TH ANNIVERSARY PARTY
Reds Stadium will be a great venue to continue the 100th Anniversary celebration on
Thursday evening. Located on the banks of the Ohio River in downtown Cincinnati,
Great American Ball Park serves as the home of the Cincinnati Reds, baseball’s first
professional franchise. Enjoy dinner, dancing and fun. Join the EDmarket Century
Club and get first crack to practice like the pros and take a few cuts in the same batting
cages used by the players or tour the ballpark.
