Essential Flavours Volume 5 I Issue 3 | Page 47

From savoury soy-garlic and umami-rich Korean to fiery chilli oil and tangy pickled, marinated eggs are one of the simplest ways to transform a pantry staple into something extraordinary. The method is the same across all six variations: soft-boil eggs for 5 minutes, peel while still warm, then submerge in your chosen marinade for at least 4 hours or overnight for deeper colour and flavour. Keep refrigerated for up to 5 days. Serve sliced over rice bowls, ramen, salads or toast, or enjoy straight from the jar. No judgement.
