If you find you have to change residence during your course you must notify the Course Tutor so that your records can be changed. This is important because your results will be sent to SQA and they automatically send your certificate to the address you registered with. What happens if I become ill on the course? You must inform Kathleen Danaher the Departments Administrator on 01241 432612 before the start of the am/pm session. Please note that a Student Self Certificate must be completed on your return. The Student Self Certificate can be obtained from the Departments Administrator (Esk Building) or Student Services. You can also complete it online from your student homepage. What will happen with my bursary? In the event that you have to take time off for personal problems, family bereavement or another serious reason, you should inform your Course Tutor. It would depend on how much time you need to take off and how much time you have already had off during your course studies. What if I have any worries about? ? Subject area: See the lecturer concerned. ? Course in general: These concerns are best discussed with the Course Leader. ? Educational & Pastoral Matters: This can include anything that is causing you worry and may have a bearing on your attitude and performance on the course. There is no ‘rule’ for this. Your course Tutor is there to help you. ? Personal and/or Welfare: Student Services staff are trained advisors who can help you with problems. They will take you seriously and treat the matter in CONFIDENCE. They are not exclusively for emotional problems – they can help solve practical problems as well.
