Questions & Answers
What if I change my address
on the course?
If you find you have to
change residence during
your course you must notify
the Course Tutor so that
your records can be
changed. This is important
because your results will be
sent to SQA and they
automatically send your
certificate to the address
you registered with.
What happens if I become ill
on the course?
You must inform Kathleen
Danaher the Departments
Administrator on 01241
432612 before the start of
the am/pm session. Please
note that a Student Self
Certificate
must
be
completed on your return.
The Student Self Certificate
can be obtained from the
Departments Administrator
(Esk Building) or Student
Services.
You can also
complete it online from
your student homepage.
What will happen with my
bursary?
In the event that you have
to take time off for personal
problems,
family
bereavement or another
serious reason, you should
inform your Course Tutor.
It would depend on how
much time you need to take
off and how much time you
have already had off during
your course studies.
What if I have any worries
about?
? Subject area: See the
lecturer concerned.
? Course in general: These
concerns
are
best
discussed
with
the
Course Leader.
? Educational & Pastoral
Matters: This can include
anything that is causing
you worry and may have
a bearing on your
attitude
and
performance on the
course. There is no ‘rule’
for this. Your course
Tutor is there to help
you.
? Personal
and/or
Welfare:
Student
Services staff are trained
advisors who can help
you with problems.
They will take you
seriously and treat the
matter in CONFIDENCE.
They are not exclusively
for emotional problems
– they can help solve
practical problems as
well.
