Using the SpectraExact 2500F in a fertiliser plant synthetic gas process
The background
Servomex was approached by a large-scale enterprise group in China, who are actively engaged in the development and production of new chemical products in fertiliser production. The requirement was for a tail gas monitor for synthetic gas processing, in particular, the customer needed a % CO measurement for process control.
Prior to the installation of the 2500F, the customer used competitor products as well as Servomex products, including the SERVOTOUGH Oxy 1900. However, the reliable performance of Servomex analyzers, as well as the support and service from the local team, encouraged the customer to approach Servomex again.
The solution
This is the first SERVOTOUGH SpectraExact 2500F analyzer installed in China in a synthetic gas process for 0-5 % range of CO measurement. The SpectraExact 2500F analyzer is more reliable and easier to use compared to previous competitor analyzers that had been installed.
A separated cell structure allows simple cleaning and servicing offering lower maintenance, and the non-depleting Single Beam Dual Wavelength( SBDW) technology helps to extend maintenance intervals and reduce ongoing costs significantly.
As the SpectraExact 2500F provides a highly flexible analytical and adaptable solution, it is ideal for use in this application. With a resilient and intelligent design, it delivers a real-time online monitoring solution in the harshest process conditions.
The results
The system has been installed for a few months, and ongoing testing is being carried out. The customer is very satisfied with the installation and commissioning provided by the Servomex engineers and the overall experience with the 2500F.
Historically the customer had worked with other companies in the industry and found them to be slow in response. As the Servomex solution includes local sales and service resources, along with the successful commission and installation of the 2500F, the customer needs and expectations have been exceeded to date.
