ES 44 | Gas analysis for cleaner industrial prosesses
Line lock technology
While many traditional TDL analyzers suffer from signal drift, the Laser 3 Plus has a unique feature: line lock cuvette technology.
This maintenance-free system solves the issue of signal drift, using a beam splitter, a cuvette filled with the target gas, and a secondary detector.
The filled cuvette gives the secondary detector a known reference gas signal, locking on to the centre of the absorption peak, so the main detector remains locked in position.
This ensures an accurate measurement of the correct gas, even if the concentration is zero – delivering dependable reliability.
TDL sensing
Our TDL sensor technology consists of a laser light source, transmitting optics, an optically accessible absorbing medium, receiving optics, and detectors.
Built-in diagnostics monitor the gas concentration in the cuvette, ensuring a stable and continuous reading of the required gas, and the high safety integrity demanded by a wide range of industrial applications, including process control of furnaces and heaters, NOx reduction, CEMS monitoring of ammonia, and power generation.
Signal information is held in the gas absorption line shape, which is obtained by scanning the laser wavelength over the specific absorption line. The presence of the absorbing gas causes a reduction of the measured signal intensity, which is detected by a photodiode and used to determine the gas concentration and other properties.
Our proven second harmonic detection modulation technique delivers greater accuracy, sensitivity and reliability of measurement, especially in low, parts-per-million-level measurements.
