Erasmus + Project "E.L.I.O.T."
Meetings for the European Project Erasmus + “ELIOT”were held in January
and February 2017. Seven schools are taking part to the project, coming
from: The Netherlands, Poland, The United Kingdom, Portugal, Greece,
Hungary and Italy - represented by the IISS “Vincenzo Cardarelli” - leader
of the project.
The aim of the project is fighting students drop-out, promoting inclusion and
improving basic skills for students attending Secondary school, this thanks
to the creation of didactic units with DiE (Drama in Education) activities.
Meetings were held in Barrow in Furness, UK, January 15th-21st and in Rotterdam, Holland,
February 5th-8th.
The first one, held at the Furness Academy, was a training meeting, where the teachers Valeria
Cogo, Milena Ferru and Carla Prioreschi attended an intensive course about Drama applied to
didactics, experimenting acting and dramatization
strategies and techniques to be applied in class with
students.
The second one was a meeting to plan and define the
structure of the first Blended Mobility provided for the
project.
This mobility, will be held in March 19th-25th in
Rotterdam, it will be attended by three students from the
biennium and it will be the final stage of the didactic
activity taught in classes so far.
The students involved in the project have been able to communicate in English with their European
peers thanks to the digital tools offered by the E-Twinning platform: a Forum in Twinspace and the
creation of interactive padlets in English about the dealt topics.
The IISS Cardarelli classes, involved in the project: 1AT, 1AA, 2AC, 2AS, worked on the
following topics: the end of WW2 and the new boundaries represented by walls (History), the
Mediterranean Basin and its promotion (Geography); the dream representation in Arts. They all
worked in class divided into groups, dramatizing the learnt contents and transforming such contents
into multimedia documents.
