women who had never before held a Bible. In Central Africa, our national team utilizes the Seed Sower training, as well as the 3 Circles and 15- to 30-Second Testimony methods, during evangelistic market outreach, hospital visits, and prison ministry.
Seed Sower training empowers women to recognize their value in Christ, confidently share the Gospel, and disciple others within their spheres of influence. For many, it is the first time they hear that God created them with purpose and power. In cultures where women have traditionally been excluded from spiritual leadership, this message is both freeing and life-changing.
At the core of the training is a clear, step-by-step discipleship approach rooted in Scripture. Women learn how to share their personal testimony, lead simple Bible studies, and identify others around them— such as neighbors, family members, and market sellers— who are open to hearing about Jesus. It’ s about planting Gospel seeds in everyday life and trusting God for the growth.
DWIM’ s country coordinators play a key role in this movement. Their work is extensive and intentional, ranging from identifying potential leaders in partnership with OMS, preparing materials, and following up with women after training to help them apply what they’ ve learned. Coordinators often travel long distances, overcome language and cultural barriers, and dedicate themselves fully to each event, driven by a deep passion for empowering women in Christ.
Perhaps one of the most beautiful outcomes of the training is multiplication. Women who once doubted their ability to lead are now mentoring others and becoming spiritual guides in their communities. Churches are growing in both number and maturity as women take the Word of God seriously and live it boldly.
In areas where hopelessness and oppression have long taken hold, Seed Sower training is cultivating new qualities— faith, courage, and the understanding that a woman with a Bible possesses power. The result is a grassroots revival led by women who are no longer waiting for others to bring change— they are the change.
