pleased to see the new method of qualifying...I think it will encourage a lot of in and we will be trying to get back next year.” Jaimee Lee Broadley on Up Tempo winner of the ridden hunters & res ch ridden horse In Hand Champion rare breeds etc Chelsea Price & Haflinger Larocha van de Bosrand Equestrian Life Championships Continued Chelsea Price said “I just wanted to write and thank you for an amazing show, me, my friends and family competed there and we all enjoyed it and will be returning next year. I also want to thank you for the opportunity to show my Haflinger in a foreign breeds class as there aren’t that many shows that do the class. it was very special to be able to show my Haflinger this year as we almost lost her last year through laminitis, she had 13 weeks box rest and 2 months of remedial shoeing before she could be ridden again, so when I qualified for your show earlier this year I was made up, as I said we all had a fantastic day at the show but it was even more special as I ended up winning the alternative in hand championship. In the space of a year I have gone from thinking I was going to lose my pony to winning the alternative in hand champion with her, it felt like a dream to run her down the centre line with her sash on to the music. So thank you again for what really was an amazing day.” Emma Mrvik & Pumphill Brandon 1st Dartmoor in hand Danielle Thelwell on Balmoral Muick Abergavenny Hetti res supreme in hand Alternative ridden champion Kate Mcclaughan Editor Louise Graham judged the Side Saddle won by Polly Mallender on Emma’s Star 16 Debbie Walker on Shiney res ch veteran aged 26 & sponsor www.equestrianlifemagazine.co.uk EL-SEPT13-S1.indd 16 22/08/2013 20:28:38
