About Ayrshire College
Ayrshire College was established in August 2013 from a merger of the three Ayrshire Colleges,
Ayr, Ayrshire campuses of James Watt and Kilmarnock in line with Scottish Government Reform
of further education, Putting Learners at the Centre – Delivering our Ambitions for Post-16
Education, 2011. This provides both a challenge and an opportunity in terms of mainstreaming
equality and inclusion as new structures, functions and processes are currently being developed
and embedded within Ayrshire College.
