Power
EPark is located in an area that has been historically zoned for industrial use and is well served from a power
infrastructure perspective. There is a 110 kV substation located within 900 ft (275 m) of the site, which is dual
fed from the main regional substation in North Cork and a power plant in South Cork.
Power Secured – the developers have secured a grid connection from Eirgrid, the national power operator,
for 60 MW from the adjoining 110 kV Castleview Substation to be delivered in 2017.
Resilience - if either power station serving the Castleview Substation is de-energised, the other connection
can provide the full contracted power flow. In normal operation, the power flow will be shared over the two
connections. In addition the power supplied from the Castleview Substation will come from two diverse
underground routes into EPark.
Green Energy - a certificate of performance can be provided to demonstrate that the power used in each data
centre has been sourced from 100% renewable energy sources. Craydel Group can satisfy an occupier’s green
power requirements from its wind farm network.
