4. Identify talent gaps based on supply and demand according to NOSS and MQA standards

5. Tabulate and assess the NOSS and other competencies and relevant qualifications (MQA
& JPK) applicable to the MedDev industry of both current and potential future jobs
6. Discuss a workable mechanism for aligning and reviewing the curriculum and training
program relevant for the MedDev workforce occupations in coordination with
accreditation (MQA and JPK) and training providers, comprising local academic
institutions (universities or colleges), vocational and other training entities
7. Report on the results of discussions with stakeholders about issues related to the
curriculum and training programs, including new or supplementary programs, to bridge
the skills gaps identified and to meet the current and future needs for skilled to semi-
skilled workers of the MedDev sector. A list of all training institutions and the training
programs they provide for jobs within the MedDev industry would need to be prepared
8. Determine if MedDev sector companies provide training to employees and/or partner
cum collaborate with education and training institutions in skill programs, including
providing internship, apprenticeship, attachments, curriculum review, program designs,
exchange of technical instructors, etc
9. Discuss professional capacity building within the entire medical device manufacturing
value chain (regulatory affairs, quality assurance, manufacturing, sterilization, etc).
Determine scope of practice, define professional competencies (functional and
foundational), work with stakeholders to attempt to build a full competency framework
and determine training priorities
10. Develop key strategic recommendations and implementable short term/quick wins and
longer-term action plans to address talent gaps
