We came to know Henry in 2010 when he was hired to work at HAC at the suggestion of a mentor . True to form , Henry worked hard and picked up whatever extra shifts he could to provide
Through all Henry ’ s strife , he found the strength to not only get through , but to excel .
for himself while he obtained his master ’ s degree . He coached youth sports and worked at the Front Desk . When Henry left his position at the Front Desk , his HAC family was sad to know that he ’ d no longer be around the club as much , but proud of him and his career choice .
Henry is now a crisis counselor for Rockford Center . He chose to use his degree and work to give back to those in need . Henry hopes to someday offer a program for veterans in crisis .
For now , we are fortunate to still have Henry in our lives – he can be found on weekends coaching youth sports , and most days working out at the club . He continues to place emphasis on physical fitness as a means of stress control and staying healthy . “ If I can stay in shape , stay physically fit , then I can be sure that I ’ ll stay healthy and be the best me possible ,” Henry says .
Though there are many lessons to be learned from Henry ’ s life , the most important is that within all of us , there is a drive and determination to be found somewhere , to propel us through life ’ s most challenging obstacles . Through all Henry ’ s strife , he found the strength to not only get through , but to excel . Henry Tucker is an incredible man , and with nothing that he didn ’ t earn through hard work , he is an inspiration to be the best human that you can be through all that you do .
Henry , we love you , and are grateful that you shared your incredible journey . You will always be the brightest smile and warmest heart we ’ ve ever had the pleasure of working with . Thank you for letting us be a part of your life .
DETERMINED TO BE SUCCESSFUL Henry received his bachelor ’ s in 2012 from Elizabethtown College and his master ’ s in 2014 from Widener University .
