An Exclusive Interview with:

Jay Gatsby

By: Abby Bass

Gatsby is a very carrying man. The poor people or just regular people that come to his parties are allowed to stay at his house or in his yard as long as they need to until they feel good enough to leave. There is very much a suspicious feeling that surrounds him and his house. He lives in West Egg, which means that his wealth is newly acquired and not passed down through the family. This leads people to wonder how he got his money. Some people suspect that he got his money from being in the drug pharmacy business. Others believe that he made his money by selling alcohol, even though there is a law prohibiting the sale and intake of alcohol, to important people that could get him out of trouble and keep his business going.

What also leads to all of the suspicion about him is that he always stands at the end of his dock at night, string into the distance. It turns out that it is a green light at the end of a dock on East Egg that he stares at each night. What many people do not know about this “Great Gatsby” is that he is still in love with a girl he was with five years ago. Her house is the one that has the dock with the green light he is always staring at every night. The problem is that she is now married to a very wealthy man and has a child. In this interview, we will find the answers to these questions.
