PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE By Linda Chimanikire Malaysia was an eye opener. More than 3000 people from across the globe converged at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre for the 84th Toastmaster’s International Convention. It was a moment in history as this was the first time ever to have the convention held outside of America. People from all walks of life were at the convention and bore testimony at how Toastmasters had changed their lives. The semi-final speeches were amazing masterpieces from 94 districts and the finals were explosive. The educational sessions were also very informative and included Douglas Kruger from our own district 74. The Zimbabwe family was fully represented to support the district champion Lloyd Mugabe by two Engineers members; Past President William Bapire, our Division Governor Edmore Gamundani DTM and yours truly.
