Specialist Training
On graduation from( M) IOT, you will move to No 1 Radio School( No 1 RS) at RAF Cosford near Wolverhampton to complete the 19-week Cyberspace Engineering Officer Foundation Training course. This will further prepare you for your role as a military leader, technical manager and Cyberspace Engineering Officer.
During your specialist training you will begin to learn about military technology, for example, such as Information Systems and Cyber Defence, as well as develop an understanding of how you will support Defence’ s digital capabilities.
On successful completion of this training, you will ready to undertake your first role as a Cyberspace Engineering Officer.
Foundation Tours
As a Junior Officer( JO) you will lead across the electromagnetic and cyberspace domain. You will be responsible for the output of teams of highly skilled Cyberspace Professionals; utilising your acquired skillset to manage and direct their work in support of Military Operations.
It is during this first tour that you will solidify the skills and expertise you have developed during your specialist training. As an Officer you will ultimately be responsible for the welfare, output and management of those working in your team whilst providing subject matter expert guidance for the wider station force.
